The Selmer Reference 54 is a professional saxophone inspired by the Mark VI model released in 1954. This horn includes Selmer manufactures warranty! We have opened this horn and inspected it in the hands so we are selling this as open box that being said the horn is like new, with a full life ahead! I have held alot of these vintage mattes and will say this is a particular very beautiful example!
Because of this, each horn is slightly unique! You will see interesting matte machine marks on various keys that are darker or lighter, and horns vary horn to horn. These vintage matte finish horns use a proprietary process in Paris to apply or transition the finish. We have 1x total last unit that we were able to get our hands on. These horns are awesome Mark VI inspired recreations! Sadly Selmer has recently announced that they retired and stopped making this model.
